Sugar Denying Polititians - the Flip Side to Keto Living

It’s hugely dissappointing to see the Deputy Prime MInister of Australia deny the toxic impact of sugar in the community’s health. His loyalty is more for farmers than the millions of lives that are worsened and shortened by excess sugar in our food supply and its low cost.

See him speak here: http://www.theage.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/sugar-salts-and-fat-taxes-could-save-health-budget-34-billion-and-increase-life-expectancy-20170214-gucbip.html

The terrible irony is that I’d bet that he has undiagnosed insulin resistance himself. He just does not know it.

So my 3 questions are:

  1. What specific blood test should he (or any of us) request from our doctor to determine if we have insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia?

  2. What numerical result or range would suggest one has insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia?

  3. Is a waist measurement or height to waist ratio as good as any blood test?

Wow. Interesting use of the term “food fascists”. Is that how we are portrayed by others?

Always.
