Substitute for pork rinds?

#1

I don’t eat pork and am wondering about good fatty and flavorful substitutes for pork rinds? Any ideas?

If you are looking for something to be able to dip into salsa or some other sort of dip, cheese crisps or whisps might a good option. I have also recently seen a recipe for baking pepperoni slices until they are crispy like a chip, haven’t tried that one yet, but would like to.

I’ve heard of making skin crisps with poultry skin and salmon skin. Sorry no recipes.

Cheese crisps are great. I’ve found that each variety of cheese needs a slightly different coooking time to get crispy.

Carlshead pizza crust mix makes a great cracker when rolled very thin.
