Sure. My experience is that you don’t taste avocado in the avocado oil. It has a very neutral mellow smooth taste.

Agreed, that’s what I use, too. I found that I have to use less than the usually amount, though, (3/4 cup vs 1 cup) because it taste too oily for my preference.

In most restaurants in the US, I know the sauces and dressings all have sugar in them, among other things that are really bad for maintaining keto. When I eat salads in restaurants I never order dressing, just oil and vinegar.

Here’s the thing about getting the ball rolling in keto; you first have to overcome the inertia of your old life. If you were calorie restricting and fat restricting then, your metabolism was completely messed up. Now you are trying to correct a long term problem in a short term manner. That’s not going to happen. It takes a long while to correct the system that has been messed up.

Deadlines are not conducive to a lifestyle of eating. This is not a weight loss diet plan. Keto does result in weight loss but it’s primary purpose is to heal the body. You are an injured person. It’s critical to think about the healing you require before you ever start to track your weight or you are setting yourself up for failure, IMO.

Granted, I do not know you. However, I do know keto. The science is absolutely trustworthy. It’s up to each one of us to put that science to the test. This requires that we actually apply the science.
It will take a lot of patience for your metabolism to reset and become fat adapted. This requires determination and adherence to the science.

Please don’t get discouraged. Your body needs to heal.
Be kind to yourself. This way of life is the best way to care for your body. Think of it as therapeutic.

This is very similar to my start on Keto. I was extreme calorie restricting @ 500 cal and almost zero fat then when I started Keto I put on 5kg over 5 weeks.

I stuck with it and around 6 weeks the weight started falling off. I lost the 5 kg and another 10 within a 2 month period.

I would stay away from nut butters in the beginning (people stall and gain with them sometimes) I had that problem!
