Started today: lots of weight to lose

(Julie) #41

I thought i got chicken breast but it had wheat in it-lesson learnt READ lables before I EAT.

Weigh in tomorrow i am excited to see how ive done

Anyway today was
Carbs 4% 21g ( blaming the chicken-with wheat in it)
Protein 32%
Fat 64%.

It my friend birthday tomorrow. Only me and her are going out. We are going to a jamacian place argh rice and beans. They do a salad-which i can add jerk chicken, avocardo and hollumi too. I think. But no idea how to guess weights of food and they are not on myfitness pal. So could be tricky. I am having scrambled eggs and cheese for lunch and got salmon for snack before bed. So those meals sorted. Xxxx

You can go off the ranch and eat anything for a special occasion. I have found that I can find something on any menu that will make low carb work…if you can explain why no bun.

That’s the preferred order to do things in, yes

If you eat foods that you know are OK for you to eat, you’re fine. Eat until you don’t want to eat (assuming your body isn’t broken to the extent that it doesn’t tell you to stop), either because you’re full or because you’ve simply had enough of eating

Keto is simple, especially in the beginning as you’re becoming fat-adapted. Keep carbs below 20g, eat when you’re hungry, get plenty of salt/electrolytes.

KISS is the guiding principle. Don’t stress, just work towards doing the correct things. Nobody does things perfectly, just keep the eyes on the goal.

Thank you. Xxx

9lbz loss in first week-i KNOW this weight loss rate wont last. I am 20.3 or 283. 4 more lbs under 20 STONE the lightest in 6 1/2 years

Carbs 2% 15 g
Protein 20%
Fat 78%

I am still learning-a lot. But enjoying it. Ive been extra hungry today. Ive read once you are fat adapted. The hunger should decrease. I ate stilton chesse AND pork scratchings-they were so salty-but i guess that helps. The keto flu-if ive read it right?

You’ve just started, so don’t worry about it. In a few weeks, your satiety signals are likely to start making themselves felt, and your appetite will most likely drop noticeably. I suspect the body may need the extra calories at the begining, in any case, so you’re fine.
