Completed my 33rd week on “Keto” and I remained stalled!! This week I gained .4lbs. I have virtually remained the same for the last 6 weeks. It is frustrating to work so hard and see NO movement on the scale. I have lost a total of 82lbs, but still, have 28lbs to go. I’m obviously going to have to make adjustments if I want to get to my goal of less than 25% body fat, less than a 25 BMI. I know I am in nutritional Ketosis, because I check myself every day with my Keto Mojo, and I have not had any Carbs. I have been weight training, so I can only hope I am building muscle, but my “smart scale” does not show increased muscle mass. I am considering cutting calories and increasing my fasting. Being stalled sucks!!! Trying to remain “calm and keto on”. Staying grateful to God for all I have accomplished, asking for additional grace and patience.
Stalled at 33 weeks
Are your clothes getting any looser? That might be a satisfying indicator of progress.
Have patience; the closer we get to goal weight, the slower the weight loss. You may be at the weight your body prefers, at least for the nonce. How to get it to change its mind and lose more weight is the trick. You might do a search on “fasting” to get some ideas.
I agree with @PaulL about checking out fasting. Also I’ve been researching carb refeeds lately, in the event that I start feeling crappy or hit a stall. You might be interested to check that out also. It’s akin to jump starting your fat burning by reintroducing carbs and then going back to keto ways of eating.
What they said. Try switching things up a bit.
Calories down a bit or up a bit. Same with carbs. Also, I have noticed a few people here having trouble with losing weight, while training. I can offer no reason for this but, maybe try no training for a week or so.
Also sometimes the thing that breaks a stall is simply consistency over time. KCKO. 82lbs is amazing.
Try “keto Roulette “. Check out my thread and how I managed to break through a stall close to goal weight.
