Socks, walks and Blood pressure

#1

Two unexpected NSV occurred this week for me. For several years I have suffered with ankle swelling especially when sitting, requiring me to wear ‘old lady socks’. After finding a hole in my one sock, I decided it was time for a new pair – only to discover that when remeasured I went from a size large to medium! In fact, it then got me to realizing that since adopting keto that I rarely have the same problems with swelling as before with both my ankle and hands. And I have been thinking I will need to get my rings re-sized as they are getting so loose.
The second was equally surprising. Went out with group this week for our holiday celebrations and ended up parking several blocks away from our event and being a little late – and was not looking forward to the usual huffing and puffing trying to keep pace with the others. However, this time – not only did I find myself keeping up – I could talk and chatter with the best of them as we scurried along to get there. And arrived without any sweating and panting. I couldn’t believe it!! It felt sooooo good!!!
Although I would attribute some of this success to be related to weight loss thus far (35lbs), but I believe it has more to do with fantastic improvements with my blood pressure and overall metabolic function. Thank you keto!! Never felt better.

Excellent work!

This NSV was the most pleasantly unexpected. At my fattest I used to wear these slip-on business casual shoe but most of this year I’d wear sneakers as the dress code went to jeans. The first time I put the slip on shoes back on, they jiggled loosely on my foot! Same with the ring, I’ve switched to the Qalo brand silicone rings found at Academy sporting goods since Tungsten ain’t the easiest to work with.

Good for you, Ajax! I’m down about the same number of pounds and although the Holidays are slowing me down, I plan to step on the gas pedal after all the parties are over, heh heh.
