Hey everyone I am new to the forums. I have been doing keto for a little over a month. I currently weigh 250lbs, I have lost 25 since starting. I weight train 4 times weekly and I am lightly active. I have my macros figure out 173g fat, 20g carbs, 123g of protein. I felt great the first few weeks but this last week and a half I feel cold all the time and so tired after I eat. I can’t figure out why? Looking for some solid advice and help. I supplement magnesium glycinate twice daily and also potassium plus I load my god with salt. I did spend a week intermittent fasting and felt great the first few day on an 18/6 and then I just crashed. I stopped fasting 2 days ago

This all sounds pretty normal. I get cold, too. Keep in mind that your body isnt the garbage incerator that it used to be!!
How long does it usually take to become fat adapted? If I eat to much protein will it kick me out of ketosis/ fat adaption?
I felt tired around three to four weeks in. I’ve done a 16:8 fast should since then and have felt fine. I think it just takes time.
I also haven’t felt a surge of energy that many report tho. I haven’t felt a big change except hunger being much more manageable.
How much protein are you consuming? I was recommended to cut mine down not sure if to much effects fat adaption
Hi there!! I am newer to Keto and I’m my 11th day and let me tell you I feel amazing! By day 2 I had Keto flu signs that were reduced afternoon a cup of hot broth and 1/8th of a banana. I know about the fruit but it helped me on day two. I checked ketones in my urine and full Ketosis underway by day 4!! My blood ketones are around 4-5 so I feel I’m doing ok!
It takes time for everyone to adjust and everyone adjusts differently. Important to keep track of what you ate and how you felt after.
I actually had a slip up yesterday and drank half a margherita and ate 4 corn chips with salsa and man let me tell you I went almost coma! My stomach hurt and I was extremely fatigued. It turned me off to carbs again because I never want to feel that way again!! And good news is that I am still in Ketosis!! Feel much better today! I’m at 20-40 carbs per day. 20 net carbs, 135g fat and around 75- 95g of protein. Still trying to figure out which protein amount is best amdnstill trying new things. Never thought it could be this easy to eat a high fat diet, but I don’t eat processed foods, mostly plant, and animal based.
