So about fasting

So I am fat adapted, stuck at 177 so I think it’s time for me to start adding in fasting. So i have a few questions:

When fasting do i need to get all of my calories in by the time i start my fast?

Does bpc break the fast? This will determine when i quit eating during the day… i have five kids i need my coffee hahaha

I’m thinking of the 16:8 is that a good one for a beginner?

Any tips or tricks you would recommend to make this process easier? Like what you wish you knew before fasting…

I read an article that said any drinks should be under 50 calories, so BPC would not be good on a fast. That’s about the only one I know.

Depends on your reason for fasting and what is in your BPC.

If you are fasting to improve insulin resistance etc then having just fat is usually considered ok as fat has a very negligible effect on insulin production.

If you are fasting for autophagy then the science is not yet there yet and fat could halt the process.

Consuming a high amount of fat will mean that your body will stop accessing your internal fat stores and burn the fat you are eating.

Eat until satiated. Don’t worry about calories. If you get hungry and can’t make it to 16 hours you didn’t eat enough so eat more next time.

There are no hard and fast rules. My advice is to make sure you do plenty of reading on fasting (YT videos are great too). And start off with reasonable goals. And if you don’t make your goal, don’t beat yourself up. Everyone is different…
