So a minute after I close down the FaceBook group

(Richard Morris) #21

So tempted to reply to that

“Is that you, buttercup?”

(Kathy L) #22

Love it! Gonna try that sometime. My go to scam reply is to say -" just a minute please" pretending I’m going to get the person they wanted, then set the phone down and go about my business until they hang up. To the guy telling me I have a virus on my computer, I keep stringing them along for as long as possible, then let them know that I don’t even HAVE a computer. They hang up real fast!

I usually ask telemarketers what kind of financing they have for unemployed people since I just lost my job, the usually hang up on me.

(LongHaulKeto) #26

Some folks…just make me speechless! Whew…

(Ross Daniel) #27

In regards to the phone scammers, I generally just tell them that I know nothing about a virus or that computers could even catch a cold. Then tell them that they need to talk to my rich uncle from Nigeria, he has the computer skills.

@richard, you clearly had fun with that one, like a cat playing with a mouse. I hope you washed your hands afterwards.
