Small Victory!

Hello! I’m more of a lurker here, but I wanted to pat myself on the back in a public way for a small victory.

I’ve been keto for 16 days. Yesterday I messed up BIG TIME at work. Pre-keto, I would justify that as a reason to binge on candy to “feel better,” especially when the office is practically drowning in left over sweets from Halloween. Post keto, I still felt like having a pity party for myself, and I was still very tempted to dive into that candy full on, but I didn’t.

It’s the little things.

You’re right. Thank you for posting. We all mess up, or face major disappontments or challenges, at one time or another. It’s nice to be reminded that it is possible to stay on plan through all that.

That’s all it is.

It’s all about the decisions we make week after week, day after day, minute after minute. Decisions about being healthier, living a fuller life, and realizing life is worth living. Realizing that we’re not destined to live a life of poor, degrading health and constant medication.

Brilliant! This is one of the best side effects- not being at the mercy of all the unhealthy addictive fake foods!
