Size 38 pants! Wow!

Going on a trip this coming weekend and my old “I have a dream collection” of jeans from 15 years or so ago are pretty much shot, worn out or about to become R-rated, not to mention, getting awfully baggy. So I decided to pick up a couple of new pairs of jeans. They’re just cheap ones from Walmart.

Saw some size 38 waist jeans and thought they might be too tight but figured, why not try them on. They were sooooooooooooooooo comfortable. I couldn’t believe how comfortable they were. And they weren’t baggy like my old ones.

It’s been a long time since I bought anything under a 40 waist. Wow!

I have no idea what my size will be when I finally reach my goal weight. I doubt they’ll be lower than about a 34, probably either a 34 or 36. Either way, I’m getting pretty close… and liking it.

great news and well done. my advice would be to buy an expensive pair or designer jeans size 34 and hang them on your wardrobe door. when you feel like falling off the wagon or need inspiration just look at them jeans.

nothing beats the feeling of needing smaller cloths. well done

Thanks, Dave!

It was just a happy little surprise for today. I did actually record the lowest weight yet in my journey, just this afternoon, about 1/2 pound lower than my lowest recent low. I’ve been seeing a lot more weight readings under 220, and that’s been a pretty sticky point. 0.2 away from seeing the lower 2-teens today, which is new and uncharted territory. It’ll come.

It’s slowly dawning on me that I’m not the “fat guy” anymore. When I catch my reflection in a glass storefront, it’s not that rotund figure glancing back at me anymore, pretending not to notice how awfully overweight.

Just rambling a little. Hope that’s OK.

Wishing all good success on their journey!

Had to laugh. Tried on the new pants after running them through the washer nI dryer and showed my wife.

“Skinny butt.”

LOL! I’ll take that.
