Sirloin, Shrimp, Skillet, Supper

#1

Important words to remember, Sirloin, Shrimp, Skillet, Supper . . . I cannot begin to tell you how delicious this keto meal is.

Step 1: Coarse chop 1 lb. of beef sirloin and set aside.

I use a really thin sliced beef sirloin from Aldi’s which is packaged in about a two lb. sealed bag, at $4.99 per lb.

Step 2: Chop and sautee the following veggies in at least two to three tablespoons of butter in a large non stick skillet: onion, red yellow or green bell peppers, celery, button mushrooms. Season with sea salt, black pepper, and a light sprinkle of garlic powder. Stir and cook until the veggies are tender and tasty in all that delicious butter. Remove tender veggies from the skillet and set them aside for the moment on a plate or in a bowl.

Step 3: Turn up the skillet heat and seare the chopped beef, gently season the beef with sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. If your personal pallette seeks other spices you like, I say go for it.

Step 4: While sauteeing veggies, or searing beef, open a package of small frozen shrimp and thaw quickly in a bowl of water. I use half of the package of small shrimp,. For our family of 3, I will say it is somewhere between 20-30 small shrimp. You can feel with your finger tips if the shrimp is nearly thawed. Drain water off the shrimp. Coarse chop the small shrimp and add to the cooked beef sirloin.

Cooking the shrimp will finish in only minutes on high heat. Then add those buttery veggies back into the beef shrimp skillet.

Step 5: microwave half bag of frozen broccoli florets, (I purchase at Aldi’s). Microwave on high heat for 4 minutes, stir, then on high heat for 2 minutes more. Dump cooked broccoli on your cutting board , chop coarsely. Add the cooked broccoli to the fabulous skillet full of veggies, beef, and shrimp.

Step 6:. Add 4 Tablespoons of Monterey Jack cheese sauce. The brand name I use is On The Border from Aldi’s. 1g carb per Tablespoon. Add 1/4 cup water. Stir thoroughly until all skillet ingredients are coated in the thin, but delicious cheese sauce. This brand On The Border Monterey Jack cheese sauce has just a slight bit of heat. But, it is delicious and perfect for my taste.

I love this skillet dish. Easy/Fast to make. We were so hungry tonight I forgot to takes photos. Next time, ok?
