Silly question

bacon

So I was just wondering. Instead of cutting pork belly into thin strips to make bacon, has anyone cut it in thin sheets? So we can have actual bacon taco shells or bacon wraps for egg rolls that we don’t have to weave together.

It’s probably due to the grain of the meat and the fat/meat proportions in the belly meat that would make it hard to achieve?

You could try deli meat ham as a meat wrapper (soft taco?)… I think I’ve seen people using compressed chicken meat (e.g. from a can) like they do for chicken crust pizza - that would be a pretty meaty taco? Of course cheese crisps can make a hard shell… but its not bacon.
