Sheep's milk yogurt?

I had no idea Sheep’s milk yogurt existed. Trying to quit yogurt (as I always want to add something with oxalates to it, like chocolate or nuts). But had to try this.

It’s my favorite yogurt. The texture is not as “solid” as Greek yogurt, and I like this texture better. The taste is great. Fat content is higher (5% I think).

The detriment is that it’s insanely expensive. More expensive than goat’s milk yogurt, which is very expensive, AND it comes in a 24 ounce container instead of 32 ounces.

My goal is to quite yogurt, but this will be on my list for an occasional treat.

Whoa, sheep’s milk yogurt is expensive. Where I am, it’s $12 for 24 ounces, versus $5-6 for high quality A2/A2 cow milk yogurt or yogurt from a local farm, at 32 ounces. I thought it was cheaper.

Where do you get this? I have to say, I have never seen it. I’ve been doing goat yogurt the last 5 years. I am fortunate enough that I can get raw goat milk. I seem to have stumbled on a great probiotic starter too. My goat yogurt has been firming up the first 8 hrs, and comes out super creamy. It is very mild and smooth tasting. I make the final product by adding a tbsp of erythritol/monk fruit and a tbsp of xylitol, 5 gr of collagen and a handful of organic berries… boy is it good! But, goat milk probably has more NEU5GC than sheep milk, although it is degraded somewhat in the fermenting process. Anyways, I would love to try some sheep yogurt!!

I live in CT and the store I go to just got it. I also saw sheep’s milk yogurt at Whole Foods, although I think it was a different brand.

I don’t remember seeing it in either location before, so I think it’s new. Maybe it’s part of the A2 “kick”, as now there are a ton of A2 cow milks and yogurts.

Your goat milk yogurt sounds great.
