Seltzer Water makes me hungry

We like to drink Wegman’s flavored waters. No calories and no artificial sweeteners. Just carbonated water and some flavor.

I’ve been struggling with my appetite despite being keto. So a week ago I drank a 12 oz can 1 hour after a meal and had instant hunger. Since then no seltzer and dramatically improving hunger or the disappearance of hunger.

Today I had two seltzer’s with lunch and have been hungry ever since. Carbs today 19.5, fat 68% and the rest protein (a little higher than normal).

Maybe this will help others. I’m going back to plan water, coffee and tea.

I noticed that it didn’t necessarily make me hungry, but I would guzzle it like I used to with soda. I’ve started drinking San pelegrino sparkling mineral water and not only do I not guzzle it, it seems to help surprise my appetite.

Of course I have to deal with the duche factor, drinking a fancy itialisn bottled water, but it’s been awesome.

Whenever I drink San Pellegrino, I announce loudly, in Spanish, in song…

“Cuidado! Peligro! Yo tango San Pellegrino!”
