Science Crisis

I stumbled upon this video. My eyes are glazing over because I already don’t trust most information but I thought it may be enlightening for some so I’m sharing it. It’s about how scientific studies are manipulated.

I just stumbled across this graph a bit ago that plots studies that found certain foods to prevent AND cause cancer. So which studies are we to believe?

It reminds me of that Homer Simpson quote: To alcohol, the cause of and solution to all of our problems.

I think the point is that there are a crap load of variables when it comes to health and chances are one study at one point in time by one group of people isn’t going to cover it.

I’m sure if we looked hard enough we could find a study that says nuclear radiation protects against cancer.

@CarlKeller EGGS, BEEF and BUTTER are the bad boys of cancer too!

To be fair, most studies are actually just paid advertisements pretending to be studies.

Thanks @CarlKeller. That’s a useful article.

We should demand there be a difference between “study” and “trial”… not that a trial cannot be flawed but a study is inherently flawed by the researchers bias.

Hmmm I’m staring at that chart and wondering if excessive sugar (processed carbohydrates) intake has anything to do with the two variables?
