Scalp psoriasis

(April Harkness) #1

I used to suffer from scalp psoriasis. I had patches on my scalp and they would crack, bleed and I was starting to lose my hair. This got progressively worse in my 30’s and was embarrassed because I’d have silvery flakes in my hair, the plaques were noticeable. People thought it was dandruff. It was not.I didn’t go to a salon for ages because i didn’t want them looking at my scalp. Until keto. I just realized when someone commented I had nice hair while shopping at Trader Joe’s. I have not used my steroid creams for my scalp since my 2nd month of keto. No more steroid shampoos!! I didn’t even realize it till now. Goodbye Clobetasol shampoo. In the trash you go fluocinonide ointment!

That’s got to feel good! Emotionally, I mean, as well as physically, lol! :bacon::bacon:

Congrats! That’s fantastic!
I’ve been told I look younger than I did several years ago.
This “ketogenesis” stuff is good for the skin and hair… someone should market it.

At first I thought I had to be mistaken, that it just wasn’t possible. But it’s true, my husband’s scalp/face/earlobe psoriasis completely disappeared on Keto too! Wow, just wow!
