New article showing saturated fat from unprocessed food is not too bad

They’re preaching to the choir here, but this stuff is good to have to throw at our detractors; particularly medical professionals who don’t get it…

Yeah, it’s disappointing that not more has been done. In the US, they haven’t redone the nutrition guidelines. This is the “protein” webpage of the US government’s “myplate”:

And then there’s this:

Now, I like higher protein, but eating something like 93% lean ground beef (if you could even find this) can make me hungry, because there’s not a lot there. When I did Maria Emmerich’s PSMF program with just a generic “I’m male and 5 feet 8 inches tall”, there wasn’t enough food. I was too hungry. I had to add more food.

And even though I eat higher protein, I still eat chicken skin, fat that’s on meat, full fat dairy, etc.

There’s very little evidence FOR these guidelines.

Edit: you can get to these pages by going here:

https://www.myplate.gov/

Then select “Eat Healthy”.

Unbelievable that they are STILL advocating low fat options in dairy and meats.

Got the usual AARP insert today, cautioning against the evils of that Arteryclogging you know what in coconut oil. I guess this is one way of getting rid of the surplus population … :imp:

The shadow of the lie is lasting a hell of a long time… but that’s because of the carb-centric vested interests. There is little to nothing in governmental dietary advice that you can believe: it is ALL propaganda for a powerful vested interest.
