Hello,

I don’t know if this has been posted yet (please delete this post if it is the case).
Here is the presentation of “Low Carb High Fat” by Sarah Hallberg, Michael Lean, Matthias Schulze, Jennie Brand-Miller, Roy Taylor --> 1 LCHF defender versus 4 traditional nutritionists

Interesting presentation, and I can understand each point of view.
I guess I need to ask, “what is the resistance to new vs established
ways to address obesity in our world?” I do believe that our younger
generation will find the answers and we need to listen to them. Dr Sarah
had 3 important options with the conclusion that it is the decision of
the patient. I also think this gives the patient/individual permission to
take control of their health and hold themselves responsible for the
outcome - blaming seems to only muddy the waters. The Physician
(in my opinion) is an informer, supporter and true reality check
for the decisions I make about my health- they are not gods, but
cooperative human mentors. Thanks for sharing. This is truly a world
wide issue.

Audience comments and questions were far better than comments of most of the panelists.

The first opinion after Dr. Hallberg said weight gain is the single major factor in T2 Diabetes. I wonder how he explains the 30% of obese people who are metabolically healthy, and the 30% of diabetics that are normal weight? (TOFI)

Many of these people just cherry pick studies that agree with their already held opinions.

Sarah Hallberg is my hero!
