Roast chicken skin

(Courtney Wickham) #1

Hi there guys!
I have a question - is roast chicken skin okay to eat on keto? I definitely eat it as roast chicken is a favourite in our house and I find when I put in the macros it’s real good for my fats but I just wanted to grab your opinions?
Cheers guys x

A resounding yes from me.

Not only is it OK, it is awesome.

You can actually buy it by the case from a meat wholesaler. You can use it for stuffed food, like you would use a tortilla.

Ever spatchcock your chicken? You cut out the backbone and open it out and press it down flat. Cook it at about 425F. The white and dark meat get done at the same time and the skin is super crisp. Plus you get to say “spatchcock”.

A crispy chicken skin is like a carnivore’s potato chip.
