Ringing in a victory

#1

At a self-checkout stand tonight, I flicked open a grocery bag, and my wedding ring flew off my finger and onto the floor. My husband was horrified, but I’ve been stalled for months, and this was the first time that happened, so I couldn’t help but feel kind of pleased.

Great topic title, very fitting.

Congratulations!

I’ve had to start putting my wedding ring on my middle finger because it’s too big for my ring finger. It’s not a ring that can be easily resized due to its composition, which means buying a new one…

Had mine fly off a couple of times. I ordered some of these on Amazon:

LOL Well done. We just never know where those NSV’s will come from, do we? Thanks for posting this.

Yep, yep, mine is tungsten, so resizing isn’t an option. Ironically enough, I wasn’t able to wear it for a while previously because it had gotten too tight.

Haha…That’s the exact item I was thinking about getting. Great minds think alike, huh?

I too had to stop wearing mine, but I didn’t want to pay to resize while in transition (more weight to lose) so I’m wearing silicone rings in the meantime. Got mine for 4 bucks for a pack of 2 at Wal-Mart in the exercise equipment section.

I see what you did there :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Fwiw Tungsten Carbide rings can be had for about $20 on Amazon. I’m needing a smaller size myself.

Yeah, it’s not the cost (we got our original set on eBay!), it’s the symbolism. I did gently bring up the idea of getting replacement rings at some point, but my husband can’t stand the thought.
