After this podcast I changed my approach just a little bit: “push to failure even if not at your maximum weight” and my strength is going up noticeable. Time will tell if the long-term payout is good.
I had a very light resistance schedule before strict keto. In June when I went strict keto I started to attend to my strength training more but now I have a renewed focus.

For someone that turns 65 this week these findings are “exciting” or at least it gives me something to do where I feel like I am benefiting my healthspan. I want my healthspan === lifespan.
Similarly, I just celebrated my 76th birthday and didn’t do much exercise until my oncologist strongly recommended it late 2015. Since then I’ve been doing exercise classes at my local senior center, with some success. But Body by Science is packing the muscles on!
