Relationship between amount of stored glycogen and fat/glucose oxidation rate in a fasted state for fat adapted individuals

I would very interested in seeing a study like this. Is anyone aware of one?

I want to gain an understanding of how carb loading a day or two in advance of a big event affects a long term fat adapted individual. I wonder if it will shift the oxidation ratio towards the glucose side effectively reducing the amount of fat being oxidized during long endurance efforts or will it minimally affect fat oxidation rate with the added benefit of a full glycogen tank for intermittent hard/fast efforts. effectively increasing power output while maintaining endurance.

I would like to run some experiments on my trainer while measuring RQ to gain some insight. However I dont have the ability to cost effectively measure RQ at home.
