Reached my first scale goal! Added pic!

(Katie the Quiche Scoffing Stick Ninja ) #1

I am very happy today
I have reached my first scale victory - Day 95, Week 13 - 10kg loss (22lbs)
Now that I have foresight over the last few weeks, I can definitely see how cheating has hurt my progress.
I understand fasting so much better now and it has really helped to break my stall.
I feel like I have learnt SO much over the last few months, on my first attempt at Keto last year I struggled so hard to understand the science, and gave up because of it.
But I am so proud of my ability to focus and retain this information now.
I really feel a sense of pride when people ask for my advice and I give it and it helps them. I really get satisfaction in that, and motivating people.
I might post a pic tomorrow. Even though it’s only 10kg, my body comp has changed SO much.
People ask me when I reach my goal weight if I will return to ‘normal’ eating. Hell no. This is my WOE now.
My ‘planned cheats’ are incorporating more complex carbs rather than crappy ones!
Thank you to everyone who has helped and encouraged me along the way, I could not have done it without all of you!

Very true, Katie, and congratulations on the 10 kilograms. :slightly_smiling_face:

You are definately a valuable member here! Congrats, 10kg is amazing.

Congratulations!!!

I got on the keto bandwagon to lose weight. My husband does all the cooking so he did too just to support me. He thought this was another one of my “diets” and we’d be back to eating “normal” after I lost a few pounds.

NOPE.

We have both seen so many improvements in our health that we are never going back.

“We came for the weight loss and stayed for the health benefits”.

That’s such a nice thing to say, thank you

That’s great news Janie, you should be proud

Love it :+1:

God, yes! It wasn’t long before I realized I’d be eating this way the rest of my life (which, coincidentally will now be longer and more satisfying than before).

@ava_ad0re
Hard to imagine a different lifestyle now, isn’t it? It’s has been awesome having you here. Hope you stick around even after you reach your goal weight.:hugs::wink:

Congratulations! This is a big accomplishment!

I spend roughly 7 hours a day on this board, it’s part of my routine and I find a lot of joy in it.
I learn whilst at work, and help along the way.
I will never leave you Ron!

Congratulations Katie, 10 kg is a great achievement, well done!

(Katie the Quiche Scoffing Stick Ninja ) #13

Also, I fit back into my size 10 pants! Im most happy about that. I was stuck between sizes for weeks lol

(Terence Dean) #14

Yeah I have that problem too, the pair of jeans I’m wearing are so baggy it looks real bad, but the old ones I still cant do up. Unfortunately if I buy another pair they’ll end up getting thrown out in a few weeks from now.
