Interesting. I would picture that as being steak and chicken and grilled fish country. However, I know what you mean. Many years ago I was in suburban Oklahoma for work. They got us lunch from the local deli. It was the saddest soggiest tuna sandwich I had ever attempted to eat! It was decades ago and I still remember it with distaste

It was memorably bad. It dripped everywhere! I am a member of the clean plate club and could not take more than a couple of bites. I am not a fan of tuna most of the time although usually deli tuna is pretty good where I live which is in the Northeast US
