QuestBars and my stuffed cookies

I searched this and was surprised it has not been brought up or asked about before. Hope I am not missing something simple here and sabotaging myself by eating them.

Anyway - I snack on them upon occasion and wonder what people thought. Numbers wise they seem to be ok, maybe not great. The rocky road bar is 5 net carbs with 9 grams of fat. Am I being duped by the net carbs? I typically cut these into thirds, carefully slice them in half with a sharp knife and stuff with cream cheese. Makes an oreo of sorts. I have tried this with a couple flavors with good success. Pretty yummy.

I also make cookies out of them, by again cutting the bars into thirds, make them round by mashing the corners and flatten them out a bit. Some flavors are hard to work round. I throw them in the oven around 250 and bake them for like 10 mins or so in my convection oven turning once. Once they cool they get hard like a cookie. Makes a great snack imho. I make two bars and have cookies for the week. I like to slather these up with cream cheese as well. They are also kid approved in my house.

I should turn this into a recipe and post some pics. Are QuestBars to good to be true?

I’m not a consumer of bars, powders, pills, etc. So, I don’t have personal experience to share with you. But, I did go in reddit to see if there were testimonials. Looks like Questbars changed their formulation, from IMO to CSF (corn soluble fibre). And the remark on reddit is that CSF causes bloating, gas, stomach issues with lots of folks.

Do you experience stomach issues? If so, when eliminating the snacking on these bars, does the problem go away?

Thanks for the link - very informative. I was more curious to how Keto these are or are not.

I have tried Quest bars a few times, i really like the peanut butter cup ones, the guy at the store said they don’t sell as well as others, there is a kinda chalky taste to the peanut butter part of it.I haven’t had one in a few months, it seems when i do eat them i get kinda bloated and can have some sugar cravings, but i may have them again someday.
