I have been low carb since 10/17, Just switched to low carb high fat a week ago, trying to eat less than 20 carbs. Urine strips are consistently dark purple but blood monitor had only been up to .4 with MCT oil on board. Ugh!!! WTH! Is my body unable to convert to beta? Any guidance would be appreciated!!

Throw the urine strips away. They are incredibly unreliable. Continue to keep carbs under 20 net.

Yes this. They only show one of the three types of ketone and only what your body is wasting, with results that are skewed massively depending on hydration levels so not at all helpful. After a while don’t even work for most people.

Bizarre! Last night tested at .4, this am at 2.0!!! Highest yet! Now back to .5 after breakfast. (:
#’s ALLOVER the place. Never have felt that satisfied since switching to HF. This is only week 2 though.
