So in the topic of protein calculation, how does one determine the actual amounts (not the macro suggestion).

For example a chicken breast may weigh 200 grams but how much of that is that actual protein value?

Is there a set calculation for this type of thing?

Let me know your thoughts.

200g chicken breast is approx 60g protein, if you use a tracker app like chronometer it will tell you, or just check internet.

Google is your friend…can ask about most foods, and even specify how it/they are cooked, which can vary the nutrients slightly.

If you are US based… if anywhere else google usually gives the wrong answer especially for carbs and fibre…

I am not US based.
I have a list of foods for my mother or me to refer to quickly and make sure of adequate protein intake.

Macadamia 1/3 cup = 4.5 g protein
Brie 80g = 12 g protein
2 whole eggs = 12 g protein
yoghurt 1 cup = 14 g protein

The U.S. Department of Agriculture makes a food composition database available. Your government may do the same.
