Progress Pics & Victories... because I feel amazing today!

#1

Photos at the end. Gosh, where to begin!

Victories so far:

35 years young. Started maybe 220lbs at end of March 2018 (maybe weighed more, I refused to weighed myself). Now 153lbs and 13lbs to my goal weight of 140lbs

I feel healthier & happier

My relationship with other people is better because I feel better/happier.

I resolved my severe inflammation (dysmenorrhoea)

I don’t feel guilt from eating (currently OMAD).

I don’t get hunger cravings.

I sleep better (I did have insomnia on keto but resolved this …separate post on this later)

I have a better understanding of how to use food to heal my body.

Feel optimistic about the future in relation to my health & wellbeing

My skin is honestly clearer. Thanks fish oils.

Mental clarity!

I decided to start dating again. I was previously terrified of dating because I couldn’t think of subjecting anyone to what I went through a few days every month due to the dysmenorrhoea. It was terrible. I had often though that if I did ever find a partner, we’d have to have two different rooms for my “days”. I would never had made the connection between my Omega3:6 ratio if I never went on keto. God help me with the dating though.

But …Yah…this KETO is just terrrrrible :joy:

Before (Started Keto March 2019).

After ( December 2019)

Thank you Beccs

I mean… congrats on your very impressive weight loss, but to be fair, even overweight you looked gorgeous. :stuck_out_tongue:
In all seriousness though, this is awesome, you look terrific.

Holy crap, that is amazing! Well done.

(Doug) #6

:slightly_smiling_face: Yeah, so… Whoo! I am positively feeling faint here…:sunglasses::+1: What a great, positive post, Mo, and you really do look fabulous.

(Liz Ellen) #7

Holy wow – you look amazing! Tell me how you did it! I know you said you OMAD. Did you plateau during your loss, and if so how did you break through them?

#8

Aww, thank you so much

#9

Thanks Bob  Best thing I ever did last year (and now for the rest of my life) was keto

#10

Is it an electrolyte imbalance?:grin:

Thank so much Doug. Just really happy to have found this WOE

Thanks Liz!

Oh yes, I did plateau a few times. For me, I realised that overexercising was a key factor. I think it triggers my cortisol too much and stalls me. I dropped down to weights once a week, then I stopped that and now walk occasionally. I plan to reincorporate weights carefully this year.

I think the nuts, nut flours and sweetness probably didn’t help either. Cutting these out helped.

The game changer in terms of body recomposition and fat loss for me was OMAD and I did this about 27 days each month, leaving 2-4 day each month of 16:8.

I fast 36-48 hours just once a month for now. It seems to help reset the body.

I fixed my digestive issues with ACV taken before every meal so I started absorbing nutrients better. I made sure to also incorporate fish oils, b-vitamins, magnesium, vit D+K2. All these helped to fix my sleep and stress which I think is an important factor in fat loss.

Hopefully some of this will help you too

Absolutely beautiful, before and after!

(Marianne) #13

Wow; you are a gorgeous woman! Congratulations!

Trust your instincts and don’t dismiss what your gut is telling you. If someone is not authentic, they will eventually reveal their true selves.

Thanks Marianne! And very wise words that I’ll remember

(Susan) #15

You are beautiful, and you should be very proud of yourself. You look fantastic, well done, congratulations!

(Paulene ) #16

What a transformation, and in less that 12 months! You must be so proud of yourself (I hope). You look like you are in your 20s now. I am sure you will have dating succes, not just because you look beautiful, but because you are also happier and healthier.

Incredible results! I had to show my husband. His reaction was “Wow! What a beauty.”

Congratulations. It’s not an easy road and you found the way quicker than most of us manage.

#18

Thanks Susan. You’ve been a lot of help in my getting here so thank you!

#19

Thanks Paulene. I definitely feel happier and healthier, maybe even more so than I did in my 20s! Couldn’t have imagined that was possible a year ago.

Thanks Ilana!
