I just ordered this bad boy and it arrives tomorrow. What are your absolute favourite, easy peasy pressure cooker recipes for a PC newbie like me?
Pressure cooker top recipes?
I just got mine, too, and did a 1/2 chicken in it, which came out great.
However, for a practical suggestion, this hard boiled egg recipe was perfect and the eggs came out great and were the easiest to peel. http://www.jaysbakingmecrazy.com/2016/12/18/instant-pot-hard-boiled-eggs/
Awesome, thanks. Did you get the same device or something different? I was going to get the Duo60 but this looked like the newer version for only $20 more.
I love eggs, 4 minutes, quick release. I do different meats all the time for 70 mins natural release. I’ve done bone broth 90 minutes natural release. All have worked great.
Steamed eggs (just to echo the others)
Kalua pork
Salsa chicken
Lamb shanks
Short ribs
Cheesecake
Chicken stock
Damn I’m so excited to start cooking with this thing!
I got the Duo80. I love it. So easy and simple. Doing @carl 's beef short ribs in it this week. http://carlfranklin.net/blog/2016/4/27/pressure-cooked-beef-short-ribs.html
2-3lb chuck roast (brown on all sides in oil)
some beef stock
an onion
some garlic
salt/pepper
a bay leaf
some mushrooms
maybe a carrot
Cook under 10lbs of pressure for 45mins. Perfect every time!
