hi!

I’ve been on Keto for a little over a year now, down 35lbs and feel amazing. I recently started incorporating HIIT workouts (Barry’s Bootcamp) and since I go early in the morning before work, I am looking for suggestions on what to have beforehand. I have been drinking this which has helped my energy levels super early, but I’m almost out.

Any suggestions on what to eat/drink prior to an early HIIT workout?

Water and salt.

Second what shortstuff said. When I want more than that I have about a teaspoon of coconut oil in coffee.

+1 above for H2O and salt.

I also enjoy a mug of black coffee with a spoonful of 100% cacao powder each morning. My workouts feel great.

I usually have coffee, usually with some salt in it and a bit of cream (not much, enough to whiten it). That’s it. I’ve done many lifting+HIIT with 32 hours fasting and only having coffee beforehand, and many of the same workouts with only coffee and fasting 12+ hours.
