Potassium in Chicken broth cube?

(Oded Shopen) #1

Well, I’m trying to find potassium supplements to combat my high uric acid (as suggested on episode 299 of the bulletproof radio), but I can’t seem to find it. There’s one item requiring perspiration, but it’s about 300mg of potassium instead of the recommended 50mg.

I recall Richard Morris’ chicken broth cubes are a good source of potassium. However I can’t find any nutritional values for them.

Any estimation how much potassium in each cube?

I use this stuff for the potassium: https://www.amazon.com/Morton-Lite-Salt-Sodium-Table/dp/B0005YM0UY

I add 1/4 tsp to weak bouillon or low sodium broth. I also add it to my water with Crystal Light to make a low carb gatorade for exercise in hot weather.

Sorry, not sure about Richard’s chicken cubes.

Thanks.
Is there any difference between potassium chlorine and potassium citrate? It was recommended to take potassium citrate specifically.
