Preheat oven to 225* Fahrenheit.

Brown both sides of your roast in a cast iron Dutch oven on the stovetop. Cover. Roast in the oven for 5 hours. Nosh.

Yes. It’s that simple.
Add liquid? NO.
Add spices? Not necessary.
Add salt? NO.

Season it on your plate.

It will be the most tender tasty pork roast you ever had. I use this EXACT method for chuck roast and short ribs. Also: best. meat. ever. Ask @matt. He’s a fan.

This is a photo of the browned meat. I will post the finished meat. It is currently roasting. Nom nom nom.


I sliced it and poured the meat juices over it.
So tender.
So full.

I found a nice recipe for a pork joint if you have a slow cooker/crock pot.

1 Put pork joint in crock pot
2 Switch it on
