I’m with you. Unfortunately, I’d been doing that so much for so long, I was literally having trouble getting back up again when the urge passed. Actual literally, not the metaphorical one.
POLL: What is your opinion about lazy keto?
That’s a good approach for everyone. For people who suffer from food addiction, however, combining junk foods with high glycemic index might make things worse.
I’ve done no tracking whatsoever, 5.5 years. Lost about 60 pounds, gained about 10 pounds of muscle (last part is in about 2 years). I personally don’t find calorie counting to be useful, as there are too many errors. For instance, I just drank 1 cup of cream (doing three days of high fat, the Feldman Protocol), and the cream listed 60 calories, 50 from fat, but zero (calories or grams) from carbs or protein. What? There are 10 calories missing and only 4 calories per gram from carbs or protein, so one or both of those have to be 1 gram. Might not matter much for 2 tablespoons (the serving size), but I just drank a cup. And then there’s my food scale, which tends to stay at the same level even when I add or remove small amounts. How close to “real” is it? And lets’ not even get into the calorie counts that are outright wrong (almonds are an example).
So, at best you might be plus or minus 5 or 10 percent using strict calorie counting. But that really isn’t great.
So, I guess I’m “I have no idea what I’m eating; I just eat mainly meat with vegetables (sometimes), sometimes dairy, sometimes eggs, sometimes higher carbs (tomatoes, etc.)”.
Lazy, and dirty ! And I’ve lost 20 lbs, in the first month, and feeling great
Bring on the farm raised Salmon, the non-grass fed beef, and the Splenda
Trying to keep the carbs below 30 or 40 a day (and I still believe that if your a big cave man that eats 3000+ cals a day, like I do, my 30-40 gm’s of carbs are about like a smaller persons / smaller eaters 20)
And not trying to reduce my protein, but instead, stepping up the fats
Keto can be this easy
Yes, and Im concerned that they might actually be too high ! The test strips are showing me like 10-12 ? Whatever the darkest color at the top of the chart is. Red wine colored.
I really don’t like the taste of trans fats, or a lot of heavily processed foods, so that’s a bigger reason that I avoid them, rather than any perceived health problems.
