Rip off the damn bandaid! Weening off carbs just prolongs the agony. You’re a trainer @dave_3 and I am sure you know that no results are to be had if you’re not willing to put in the work. Give people the info, they’re either ready or they need to bottom out further to get real. Sure, step down carbs to 100 but then it’s time to quit. Don’t drag it out giving yourself time to talk yourself out of going through with what you really want. The sugar devil will be standing on your shoulder till you decide to kick him to the curb. :cowboy_hat_face:

I started with a 4 day water fast, went full cold turkey on carbs for 12 months at sub-20 grams per day. Never missed even my carb all time favs.

You could argue that is Jeff’s (video dude) point. However, Zone Diet does not put you into ketosis. There are a myriad of ways one can lose weight, which I do not doubt. I do doubt the efficacy of the generic application of this method as Jeff suggests, and posting non-ketogenic diet advice to newbies is more confusing than clarifying.

And it didn’t stop the hunger either. That is why I would lose 30, then put back on 35 doing it. I could drop weight just not keep it off on the Zone. So I just KCKO and KCFO these days.
