Perfect Medium Rare Roast

  1. You’re going to be cooking the roast directly on the oven rack, so on the rack below the one you’ll be using place a 9x13.
  2. Preheat oven to 500.
  3. Cook roast for 5 minutes per pound.
  4. Turn off oven and do not open for two hours.
  5. Enjoy!

It turned out a little bland. Next time I’ll get a fattier cut and marinade it first. Even still, my husband liked it and he hates roasts. So that’s telling!!

This is how I cook Prime Rib. I usually put a rub on it first.
