Most likely. I don’t feel all that great anymore when I each too much carbohydrate, and sugar has actually lost its appeal (never thought I’d be typing those words, lol!).
Perfect Health - Would You Still Follow Keto/Carnivore Diet
I have no idea how my body would react to chocolate cake and ice cream, or fresh pizza or any of those things. I haven’t touched them in years.
Blood pudding. Mmmmm. Unfortunately, very hard to find in my world. Purchase some 3 years and paid $5/round.
Oh yes, I would pester folks (the egg lady, butchers, whatever) to get me blood for my last month on Earth… I LOVE blood. But we only have it in our not-sausage with a lot of rice I don’t even like that thing, only real sausage, with meat. But I do love fried blood.
I go off, sometimes very off all the time but I haven’t touched most of them either… Except ice cream as a relative has it and I am too curious. It’s not really good, sugar water, mostly. I am really into fatty ice cream and of course, half of it should be egg yolk… It’s even better with some quick cake (1 egg yolk, 5g walnut and other tiny things, microwave).
I keep planning to make an ice cream cake one day (never had one and it sounds nice) but as I want to do them when I do carnivore and I don’t desire cake even when I eat carbier and very much not on carnivore, it just never happens. But it would be fun, it probably would require 40 eggs for a small cake so I probably will end up with a tiny, muffin sized one. Or two, maybe my SO gets one but that won’t be even remotely carnivore only very low-carb.
I would make that thing in my last month.
Adding carbs has simply no sense so I wouldn’t do that. That just would make it worse except maybe very tiny amounts. Even if I go off carnivore, walnuts taste WAY better than flour…
(I still like thinking of cakes sometimes, I just don’t want to eat them. Except the yolk-walnut thing here and there.)
As can vegan. Terms like this are just not super descriptive. Vegan is supposed to be healthy and anti-heart disease, right? Well, you can eat unhealthy vegan. There are vegans who get their blood tests back and are shocked to find that they have high apoB - that’s supposed to come from eating all that red meat… Well, that is just not really true. Having high insulin and blood sugar will cause glycated LDL which will cause high apoB… maybe just in my opinion, but there is testing which bears that out. Vegans are not free of heart disease, and have strokes etc. I believe it is related to their thinking that they are safe by replacing saturated fats with “vegetable” oils, which I believe are oxidizing. A recent study actually related soybean oil to cancer as well. We have been fed lots of crap “science” regarding saturated fats. Can you be vegan and healthy? I think so, but I feel it is def harder. I just enjoy foods like shrimp and lamb too much, and believe they are good for me, when they are not fed crap.
No, vegan is supposed to be plant-based, most of us really don’t see it as “oh, surely healthy” here…
Vegan is super easy to do unhealthy, keto and carnivore much be much better in that regard… But we can mess up any of them.
Most vegans eat high-carb and it is horrible for many of us. But vegan keto is super tricky… Low-carb vegan probably have good chances. And there are raw vegans… There are some great dishes there but I never figured out how they don’t just die of hunger… As the ones I heard about ate super little. It’s possible to get calories from a ton of fruit and nuts but there is the pesky thing as right nutrition and it’s even trickier there than on a “normal” vegan diet.
I was interested in veganism before so studied it a bit. Not too deep as I didn’t want to do it myself… Me being high-fat for life wasn’t a problem but giving up my eggs and getting my nutrients in more complicated ways didn’t seem good. The meat part wasn’t a problem as I was a vegetarian for long and almost that (360+ vegetarian days a year) for even longer. But now… Nope, I couldn’t give up meat and it’s not hedonism or whatnot, it’s a physical need. I eat little meat for some days and my body complains and gives me irresistible desires. I don’t get it as I lived just fine without meat for very long. Not as fine as now, though and my body wants the best, the greedy little one.
