Packaged Coconut milk

I know processed foods are to be avoided as much as possible but I’ve been using coconut milk in drinks / smoothies.

My ketone levels are usually pretty low and I’m trying to work out if it’s natural for me to be low or something is keeping me out of or on the edge of full ketosis. My ketotones are usually anywhere between 0.2 to 0.8 mmol/L, and sometimes after exercise do get up around 1.5 mmol/L.

The main brand of coconut milk I’ve been using is Australia’s Own Coconut Milk.
Ingredients list: Filtered Australian Water, Organic Coconut Cream (10%), Salt, Locust Bean Gum, Sodium Alginate, Guar Gum.

I’ve also just brought (haven’t used) Vitasoy Coconut Milk Unsweetened. (Don’t be fooled by the name it contains no soy).
Ingredients: Filtered water, coconut cream (min. 8%), inulin, mineral (calcium, phosphate), emulsifier (471), vegetable gum (407, 418), natural flavours, sea salt.

Just wonder if anyone used and or has any issues with these products and thoughts as I’m a little stumped atm.

I’ve always been concerned by the ingredients in these so instead make my own almond milk. It’s so easy. I just soak some almonds for at least twelve hours (most often 24), rinse them thoroughly and put them in fresh water, blend for about 30 seconds in the NutriBullet then drain / filter to remove the pulp.

I’ve removed it to see if it has an effect.

In Canada, I can get coconut milk with the ingredients: coconut cream, water

Nothing else added. You could try a health food store?
