Organic Produce in Non-Recycling Bags! 😒

I just don’t get it sometimes! It happened to me again today. I bought some organic green beans and was going to recycle the plastic bag and it was non-recyclable! Uuuuuggghhhh! It just seems so counter-intuitive to me, much like damned if you do and damned if you don’t. I guess I need to cross examine every package top to bottom before I buy it. There is no more just going to the store and just picking up what you need. Seems like you have to stand there and study everything anymore. :roll_eyes: Ok, off my rant. Back to your regularly scheduled reading…

Not only that, but my town won’t take a number of recyclables, because they claim there is no market for them. Guess other towns and cities got into it earlier and shut mine out. :frowning:

Our center quit taking Plastic Bags! Can you believe that?! I mean seriously? I had to take them to WalMart to recycle them. Then we contracted with our garbage service, and they take bags but quit taking Glass! Huhhhh? Talk about backasswards, I swear sometimes I live in a time warp around here. You should see how my sister in-law has to do it over in Austria. Apparently she gets charged by the amount of garbage that she throws away in her can every week. They weigh the can, so every Saturday morning she drives over to the recycle center where they take pretty much Everything you can imagine. Whole families are there getting rid of all their stuff, a real family affair. I guess our landfills aren’t full yet. :roll_eyes:

I just reuse my own bags. I DID remove ALL plastic from my home recently, even non food containers. Too toxic for me.
