Oranges šŸŠ- sore joints

carnivore

#1

Where was the Mikaela Petersen ā€˜oranges’ anecdote?

I tested some navel oranges against my keto carnivorish base diet and ended up with sore (pins and needles) finger joints and a higher than standard morning, fasting blood glucose (5.9 mmol/l).

Test was one orange after 2nd meal. 3 tests, one week apart.

Neuropathy, immune mediated inflammation, oxalate dump?

The first reason is you cannot oxidize fructose or blood glucose any longer like the average person from only eating large portions of meat/protein or only eating meat and not enough vegetation long-term?

The second reason, the fiber in the fruit takes longer to process so the fructose is not absorbed as fast as eating a free sugar that shock your insulin secretions into an enormous chronic spike?

Why Whole Foods are better!

Third reason, your more intolerant to the fructose because you do not eat enough fruit to to give your body enough hormetic shock to withstand inflammation of what little sugar your giving it.

The last reason, your body is now dependent on the vicious circle of storing carbohydrates rather than oxidizing both fat and carbohydrates. (hint: your only oxidizing protein into sugar/glucose)

Sugar is not technically a bad thing until you start eating more than your muscle tissue (without fatty deposits?) can burn at one time. The less lean skeletal muscle you have in ratio to adipose tissue size, the less sugar you eat or can eat.

Fatty liver and/or pancreas (eat more eggs) then you will need more insulin when you over eat sugar or any amount or type of sugar.

Yet another post full of absolutes with little to no nuance… nor any evidence…

even though 100% completely unnecessary for life…

more nutritional orthodoxy …

amongst many other errors

2/10 you can do better …

(Bunny) #4

Maybe you could show some evidence to challenge my view on said errors that are not an n=1 placebo paradox?

I simply want to see something real, scientific double cross blind placebo, research, empirical cross-validation, historical evidence, give me something to sink my fangs into about this silly idea about humans only eating meat? I come up empty handed every time so that tells me something is wrong?

I really want to believe in ghosts, if you ever catch one and trap it in a box let me know?

(bulkbiker) #5

OK
Do we agree that there are no ā€œessentialā€ dietary carbohydrates?

Edit to add… as you are the one making the absoluitst statements I think it should be me asking for the

(Bunny) #6

Resistant Starch is essential to human life if you want to safely eat protein without eating so much fat.

Dripping with starch…lol

Bushmen are clever?

I’m not an absolutist that is used more in a political context, I am open to common sense and saving lives?

(bulkbiker) #7

So you are making a claim that resistant starch is an essential nutrient along with fat and protein… correct? And your evidence is a photo?

(Bunny) #8

Correct!

Your not going get any closer to fact then a priceless picture like that!

Beautiful picture at that.

(bulkbiker) #9

Well if that is the sum total of your evidence…

I can find nothing that supports your claim… so…

(Bunny) #10

Tell them that, I know those sweet potatoes must look horrifying to you…lol

How many thousands of years or the quote ā€œmillions of yearsā€ they been eating starch?

Look at that nice chunk of starchy tuber root, that’s part of dinner?

(bulkbiker) #11

Where is the famed Bunny wall of published text supporting your argument…

Seems like your pictorial evidence is rather lacking in substance… maybe the tuber is for feeding their cows?

Anyway as you seem incapable of providing the ā€œevidenceā€ you usually so adore I’ll pass on this conversation.

(Bunny) #12

Most of human life would be extinct if it were not for resistant starch in its original resistant and natural form… that a fact!

(bulkbiker) #13

Interesting that the ā€œscienceā€ you normally rely so heavily upon doesn’t support your view that resistant starch is an essential nutrient along with fat and protein then…

How inconvenient.

(Bunny) #14

Eh…em I guess the science your relying on has catching up to do?

(bulkbiker) #15

Not so much … if there are no ā€œessentialā€ dietary carbohydrates then that resistant starch you appear to love seems a bit ā€œunessentialā€. Or maybe you have a ā€œdifferent opinionā€ rather than a factually supported statement this time?

(Bunny) #16

I think you might misunderstand what resistant starch is, it is not a carbohydrate that is required by the human body it required by the bacteria that live in your gut and if they all die, you the host die with them.

When you eat only meat your gut becomes full of amino acid eating bacteria which smell like a dead body eventually. And your gut then becomes an easy target for very bad pathogens eventually.

(bulkbiker) #17

Again another statement of"fact" which is simply your opinion and appears unsupported by evidence… has your account been hacked by a vegan advocate perchance?

(Bunny) #18

I wish it were my opinion just looking at the research on ex-carnivores is scary in itself.

It’s right here on the forum I’m sure you will find it…

Question is are sure you want to read it?
