Online masters degree in Nutrition

#1

Hello my fellow ketonians,
Does anyone know of any good online master’s programs for nutrition? Im 42 and thinking of going back to school, have a degree in Chemical engineering, but nutrition has always been my real passion. Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks!

I an doing an MS in Engineering Management from EMU all on-line. I see they also have an MS in Nutrition program also all on-line.

Thought: Most of what they teach in such a program will be standardized main-stream HIGH CARB LOW FAT bullsh*t. What would you gain by spending 2 to 5 years doing this program (full or part time) other than a degree?

There are other alternatives:

National Academy of Sports Medicine offers a quick cert that will give you legitimacy to practice.

There is a cert out of South Africa for Banting (Tim Noakes)

Thanks for your reply.
Great question and totally agree with you regarding the programs out there. I have realized that unfortunately a lot of platforms will look at what your background and education is and that could be a big factor in how influential one can be, whether it’s coaching people with insulin resistance/ Diabetes, PCOS, etc or if it’s academia, or research. I’m a big researcher at heart and that could also be a path.
Will look at the programs you sent, thank you
