One more newbie intro!

Hello everyone! I have a few concerns that I am sure most of you could shed light on.

Before I get started just a little information about myself. I’m 33 years old and have never tried a diet or quite honestly blinked at one. But with family history of blood pressure and cholesterol problems, which I already take blood pressure meds for. It’s not terrible, but in the hypertension zone. My weight is secondary to those medical issues. I’m 5ft 10in at 186lbs.

My concerns are that I am a planner and that I really would like to find some sample meal plans for a day. I don’t like winging things and found myself trying to figure out how or what food I was going to eat to meet my fat and protein goal by the end of the day yesterday. I have went to the ruled.me and gotten those numbers, and also downloaded the carb manager app. Thus far I have only cut out the bread, and sugars. Thank you for your time and any help.

I think there are diet plans others have signed up for, but you usually have to pay for those, I think that Dietdoctor has one?
I just worked out the carb content of foods I like & put them together, wrote it all down, & read up on some new recipes to try & worked it out like that- I keep it simple & only count carbs, I counted protein for a while but I’m usually under with that, so don’t worry about it now, then if I needed more food I stuck to fatty things. It’s surprising sometimes how much even low carb things can add up in the day, like veg, avocadoes, nuts etc., so I do find it helps to plan food for the day too.
I stuck to similar meals to start with so I’d know I was doing it right, then tried the new recipes, like from ruled.me or Dietdoctor, & lots of recipes on here. I avoided eating out for a bit too so I could stick to it.
Hope it goes well for you!

Thank you! I will try to keep it simple and check those out for some ideas. I know there is a meal plan from the ruled.me, but honestly I didn’t want to pay for it because I’m not going to fast. I know that will help with the fat adaptation. But I run three times a week (30 to about 50 minutes each time) , ride my mountain bike once or twice for two or three hours, paddle board when I can, and chase our three year old twins around. So I really need the food. Thank you for the information and your time!
