OMAD to break a stall

(Jessica) #1

I started the Keto woe at the end of May. I lost 30lbs really quickly (first month and a half), then slowed down. I sat at 40lbs lost for what seemes like forever. Last week I decided to try OMAD. In the last 5 days Ive gone down 5lbs!! I havent been hungry but I really look forward to my meal each day.

From what I’ve read here on the boards, that is pretty typical; getting a weight stall and then trying OMAD. I was stalled for almost a week and did OMAD yesterday, and got up this morning and found I had lost 2#s!

I am trying this this week, too!

I was doing OMAD or 20/4 hour IF for the last 2 months and lost up to 40 pounds (total since May). But these past two weeks it seems I’ve stalled. After listening to Megan Ramos on the Dudes podcast it sounds like I need to actually eat 2 or 3MAD again and then go back to IF. You shock your body into burning fat again. Sort like shocking your pool. At least that’s my take on it.
I’ll post my results if it works.

I did 2 jars of peanut butter over ten days. Stopped, and started losing again

The peanut butter worked for me, too!

I started keto doing OMAD and then stalled, but then upped my calories and started to lose again. I think as long as you are doing something different, your body has to adapt to something new and that may help the fat loss along.
