Olive Garden Tip

This Olive Garden tip was posted on Reddit today

Basically, instead of ordering the Chicken Alfredo (without pasta) with a side of broccoli ($17.99 + $2.99), order the side of broccoli ($2.99), a side of grilled chicken ($3.49), and an Alfredo dipping boat ($3.99).

In other restaurants, it may also be cheaper to order appropriate sides individually instead of asking for regular dishes to have things removed.

Order two

Is that a way of saying their sides are small?

It’s been a very long time since I saw the inside of an Olive Garden so no idea.

Alternatively, shun Olive Garden entirely.

It’s a matter of satiation. Olive Garden food is not great. It’s low fat and meh in flavor to me

I hear ya. We had pretty much stopped going to Olive Garden a good while before going keto. It just seemed like the food quality kept going down, at least in the restaurants we frequented.

I do appreciate the thoughts on some food choice possibilities, just in case someone we know wants to go there to eat and invites us to go along.

We went to Olive Garden a few months back (before I was keto) and my son, who went keto back in January, ordered the chicken alfredo, but asked if they could substitute broccoli for the pasta. No problem! Our server even mentioned they’d had similar requests in the past. It looked delicious! A large dish of broccoli florets covered in alfredo sauce and chicken.

They also have a Chicken Picatta dish with 8 g net carbs without any substitutions. Not bad if you end up at one when you are with a group of people and the restaurant choice isn’t yours.
