Odd (maybe) ketone readings

so been doing strict keto for just over a month now. 21g carb allowance a day and have never been over that in the 30 days.

Started by checking my ketones with pee strips and over the last two weeks was showing moderate (4)-large(8) (not sure what he measurement is as it does not say but would think it would be the standard mmol/l). Was pretty confident in those numbers even though I know that the pee strips are not as accurate as blood. The strips I was using are from smack fat.com

Decided to invest in a blood monitor and got the Keto-Mojo. When it came today I was curious to check and see what my actual blood ketone levels were and the results were a 1.0mmol/l.

I have noticed a decrease in the “keto” taste in my mouth the past two days so I am wondering if I have slipped out of ketosis some how? If I’ve moved more into fat adaption does ketosis decrease? I thought I had read and research my up pretty gone on Keto before I started, lol.

The only change in diet over the last two days was i decreased protein and increased fat since either I or the calculator I initially used was in error, but it was not a huge move on either more if just a tweak.

Am I just over thinking this (tend to do that with stuff lol) or something else I should be looking at?

Thanks

The taste diminishes over time. 1.0 mmol is ketosis… all good to me

ok cool thanks for the quick reply.

that is actually a good number. I run between .6 to 1.2 average. There are variables that come into play so don’t worry. Anything above .5 is in ketosis and I have occasionally seen .4 and was still in.

Awesome thanks.
