O.K. I've had it up to here! The word "CHEAT" must die

Hi @Gabe
You said 'Of course, if I was diabetic, heaven forbid, none of the above applies. There’s no excuse. ’

And I have to disagree.
Of course there is an excuse: Diabetics are human beings too. With all the faults, foibles, momentary weaknesses and failings that plague everyone else.

Plus of course, they often have higher levels of insulin resistance and greater carb cravings, making the temptation much harder to resist.

Why would someone think that it is OK if they ‘cheat’, but not ok if someone else (diabetics) do exactly the same thing?

You can probably tell that I dislike it when someone judges another without trying to walk in their shoes.

Not a bad screen name

(TJ Borden) #43

Obviously you’re not a Trekkie. @KHAN doesn’t do anything light hearted.

(Jaharri Asten) #44

I call it a relapse… But I like to be dramatic

(Randy) #45

I am not a Trekkie. I don’t own memorabilia. I have no Starfleet uniforms. I don’t got to conventions.

But I am a big Star Trek fan. And Khan is my favorite villain.

Ricardo Montalbán is the only actor that could out “over act” William Shatner.

The real tragedy is that you are missing Cedar Point!!! You certainly did deserve the beers.

(Rob) #47

He thought it was pretty hilarious to put the Ceti Eel into Chekov’s ear :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(Rob) #48

Trekkie/r isn’t only self described, it’s ascribed by others… what would your friends say you were? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(Joe) #49

Yup. It was for her work though. Had the beers AND was down to a new low today!

(Rebecca ) #50

(Randy) #53

Born in 1964,

(Rob) #54

20th century tyrant (enslaved 25% of the globe in the mid 90’s, but I seem to have missed this ), then 23rd century renegade.

What he’s doing here ranting about keto things is unclear (parallel universe?)

(Randy) #55

Not a lot to do for fun on Ceti Alpha V…

(TJ Borden) #56

Not a Trekkie my ass:joy:

(Davey B ) #57

Randy,
Thanks for the post. Agree with you… You’re choice: out or in, that simple!
Haha

“[rant] I’ve got to admit that I throw up in my mouth a little every time I see some one use the phrase “cheat meal” or “cheat day” etc.”

So how many carbs in the throw-up?

(Randy) #59

Less than 20.

Amen!
