"Nutrient timing" N=1 Bah humbug

I’m coming to the conclusion that the fitness industry love of nutrient timing is mostly about selling protein shakes at the juice bar in the gym.

My life is a 60 hour work week, a long commute, keto at 20 net carbs, cardio, lifting and walking. I skip breadfast Monday - Friday, eat nothing on Saturday and never snack. So it’s Sunday morning, 36 hours since the last food. Instead of eating early as usual, then lifting, I spent a few hours sipping coffee and doing food prep then down to the basement for an hour session of lifting. I measure progress in reps added to sets. I got more of those this morning than usual while feeling noticable hunger. For training after work I always prep dinner, then train, then eat which seems to increase motivation during the training. I see no evidence that training well fasted or hungry effects fitness progress.
