NSV: Was diagnosed earlier this year with Type 2 diabetes after being diagnose as pre-diabetic over 4 years ago.
I estimate that at varying times during the year that I was diagnosed that my HBA1C was at least 11.1 or higher (or a little lower but approx. avg) during the year that I was diagnosed T2 diabetic so after struggling with doing what the doctors kept telling me to do and getting sicker I decided to start a ketogenic diet (October 16,2017) and my glucose levels went from an average in daily testing of 125 or more down to an average over the following month of 81.45.
My first batch of tests at the VA (Veteran’s administration on November 9, 2017 showed that my HBA1C was down to 7.8, my blood glucose was holding steady at 88, and the big shocker was that my triglyceride levels which had been well over 300 for the past 15 years and climbing were now at 69.
I just received my latest results drawn by the VA on December 22, 2017 and “viola!!!” my HBA1C is down to 6.4, glucose remains unchanged, and my “tri’s” are even lower at 58, and all of my bloodwork after years of being “abnormal” and “way out of range” is now “normal” and my doctor is stunned but happy.
So for those of you who are wondering if “keto” will help I’m living proof that if you persevere, keep calm, and keto on it does work and you will see the results if you stay the course.
Be blessed!!
