Noticed something about keytones test strips

Negative stays negative. Trace and above turns lavender overnight.

Weird. I have had no success with urine test. I’m thinking of ordering a breath one that is new. I wouldn’t even bother but I’m trying to see if I can manage my daughter’s epilepsy with ketones.

I think that’s an excellent idea. Keto was first used by a Dr to treat epilepsy in children.

And negative pregnancy tests turn positive when left overnight too, they’re false readings too. The sticks specify to be read at 60 seconds for a reason.

I didn’t know that about pregnancy tests.

I’m only using them to see if I’m making keytones. I have trouble telling Trace and negative apart.

Therefore my post and my observation. Negative won’t change overnight. Trace and above will.

It only matters what they turn within the first 60 seconds. After that, it’s completely meaningless.

Sorry but this is not how they work, and tbh pee sticks are really not a helpful tool for determining ketosis.
