Not sure if I'm eating enough fat

#1

Hi, so I just started Keto today but started planning out my week and each meal I entered into my KetoDiet app seemed to not be in high as fat as I thought.

Based on my BMI and height/weight I should have the following:
1877 calories
23 grams of net carbs
80 grams of protein
162 grams of fat

I’m staying in the safe zone with net carbs, protein and calories, but it just seems like I’m only really able to get to about 90 grams of protein.

So my question is, is this okay to be that low in fat but still in the okay with protein, carbs and calories? If not, any suggestions on how to improve this?

The way it’s supposed to go is you are to eat fat until you feel full. That’s hard for some to judge. So do you feel satisfied??

Did you mean fat?
I’ve done 1870 cals for over a year so I’m familiar with planning for that amount and getting 150+g of fat.

It would help if you said what your meal plan looks like so we can suggest ways to add fat.

Also, as an FYI of guidelines, 20g net carbs is a limit, protein amount is a goal, and fat is a leveler. You add fat to satiety. Still hungry, add more fat.

Hi. I’m in the same boat as you. However, I am not calculating the fats used to cook with.
I save bacon grease in my fridge for my eggs and cooking meat, (saves me $ on butter too).
Today I made coffee and to my 10 cup pot added 1 serving of bakers chocolate, 1/4 cup of coconut oil and enjoyed with heavy cream. It’s a nice keto friendly treat I don’t think I’d ever had before!
Anyway, my point is that fat can be added to meals in adventurous ways!

Yes! I meant fat, sorry.

And that last paragraph is SUPER helpful, I never thought of it that way. Thank you!

Typically I eat:
breakfast – eggs cooked in butter with sausage
lunch – salad (caesar/ranch/etc.) with meat and cheese roll ups
dinner – some sort of meat and veggie
snack – sugar free jello or nuts

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #6

Here’s a thought: scramble your eggs with some heavy cream, buy a fattier sausage, if possible; use a high-fat salad dressing (does blue cheese have any appeal?), butter your roll-ups, garnish your meat and vegetables with butter Cook everything with butter, tallow, or lard. Have a fat bomb for a snack instead of the gelatin or nuts.
